Digital Point & Shoot Cameras This camera works well for me

reat bang for your buck. I went on a once-in-a-lifetime international trip and wanted something to save my memories that was better than my cellphone but not necessarily a DSLR--I have no current plans of picking up photography. This camera took some great photos. I wish I could have taken shots one after the other more quickly, but perhaps that's just a setting I haven't discovered :)

This camera works well for me.I don't want to carry xtra lenses with me,I want to keep it simple.It is a fun camera to use and takes very good pictures.It eats batteries,thats about the only thing i don't like about it.I will start using rechargable batteries.Very good product for the money.

I bought this camera as a Christmas gift for my wife per her request (Amazon Wishlists are great). With her new phone and this camera, staying out of a picture is hard work! If I were to do it again and took my time to read more reviews, I would have likely went with the L840 instead as it was not much more money... but this has been a great camera so far.

Was a gift for my SO. She absolutely loves it! Loves the wide angle and the tremendous zoom too. Great camera for a step up from the shirt pocket cameras, but one step below the cameras with interchangeable lenses. Takes great, well focused photos. Great all in one lense. If you're not ready for the an interchangeable lense camera, this is a great choice. Would buy again.

 

I bought the GoPro Hero 4 Silver

I bought the GoPro Hero 4 Silver on November 30th, 2015 on Amazon and was thrilled when it showed up. The camera is great, picture great and features are awesome. All sorts of good stuff with one caveat: The dreaded helicopter sound when connected to the camera via wifi from your phone. All audio recorded sounded like I was in a helicopter or one was nearby. This is a well known and documented problem with this camera that has been going on for almost a year and GoPro is STILL selling faulty models. I happened to get one of these through Amazon. After lots of research and watching countless youtube videos I returned the camera and asked for Amazon to send a replacement. I got lucky (so far) and the replacement camera does not have the wifi audio interference.

Update: 2 weeks later and the camera is still running good with no wifi interference sound.

If you have the helicopter noise when using wifi Return the camera to Amazon ASAP!!! This is so unacceptable that GoPro knows about this but is still selling these broken cameras. They should be pulling them off the shelves and replacing them with the fix as there is one.
Other than the helicopter noise problem this is an amazing camera and I love it.


Love it so far. My only knock would be the battery life. I ran out of battery very fast on my first trip out fishing. My second trip, I used all 3 batteries in about 4 hours of fishing with only about 30 minutes of actual recording. The phone app is pretty great too.

Does everything I want and need as advertised. Doesn't replace a point and shoot camera for getting landscape shots, but excellent for action video, wide angle landscape shots, selfie shots, and time lapses. Gopro editing software leaves a bit to be desired but the camera is exactly what you expect.

I have had it for about 6 months and have taken it on my dirtbike helmet for some trails and fields, strapped it to the exoskeleton of a buddy's off road vehicle for some river trails and rock climbs, put it on the dash when we rented a car overseas and got some sweet time lapse video, and carried it on several hikes and a few other adventures. Wouldn't have been able to do most of these with any other camera.

The Garmin Virb XE is 10x better. Garmin has GPS which displays your location on google maps as you move down the mountain, speed, altitude, g-force. Do some research before buying an inferior gopro camera.


Great product... gift for my husband... only downfall is the battery doesn't last AT ALL... he charged it all night and took it to work with him, barely used it and it was dead hours before the work day was over... like the battery was draining even when it wasn't being used? Otherwise, he loves it.


Came with GoPro only. No charger or SIM card came with it. I was very embarrassed when I gave it as a gift. They had to go and purchase their own charger and Sim card.


on't buy it. Iv had a GoPro for a couple years that I haven't used much, it's never been dropped or wet, and it's always been stored in a zip up case. One day I went to use the camera, turned the wi-fi on as usual to connect to the GoPro app but it wouldn't send out a signal to my iPhone. I called and emailed GoPro over the course of a few days only to determine that, and I quote, "your camera is fault" and they won't do anything about it. Not only that, when I do the latest update on the camera it holds it until the camera is shut off and when turned back on the update is erased from the camera. I would not recommend this product to anyone, for the rediculious price they charge for these cameras they should last much longer. Extremely dissatisfied. Two thumbs down and 0 stars if possible


I spent 3 hours trying to connect the WiFi on the camera to the phone app with no success. Finally after talking to GoPro technical support they said the WiFi isn't working correctly and I had to send it back. I might have saved a little money buying it through Amazon, but now that there is a problem, I have to mail it back and won't have the camera for christmas as I planned!!
Got mine as a package deal and use it on my jetski, car, mountain bike. Bought a floating head strap for when I jetski. Takes great pictures and unbelievable video! Only recommendation is getting a larger memory card and wish they had a longer life battery, 1hr 20 min on a good day. But since I bought it in a kit I got two extra aftermarket batteries which gives me the extra time on a long day.
